In this Beginner Quilting Class, Laura will take you through all the steps of making a quilt, without committing to a bed-sized project. Over the course of three weeks, we will learn about picking fabrics, cutting, piecing, quilting, and binding! By using squares and a very foundational quilt block, the half-square triangle, we will be able to create a simple runner that looks harder than it is. 

This class will possibly require homework in order to complete the runner in three weeks. Because of this, attendees will either need to have their own machine, have access to a machine, or be willing to rent time on the machines at the shop (for a discounted rate) in order to complete the project within the class time frame. 

The cost of the class includes 6  hours of instruction in a small group setting, use of the classroom and it's tools, quilt batting, and the pattern. This project requires approximately 1 & 1/4 yard worth of fabric which can be purchased at the shop for a 20% discount.  We can also put together a kit for you.

Time: Tuesdays, January 14th, 21st, & 28th from 1pm - 3pm.

Cost: $135.00

Skill: Be able to sew a straight line on a sewing machine.
