Make a complete three yard quilt in six weeks. This class is ideal for confident beginners as well as more experienced sewers and quilters who want to spend some time getting back to the basics and improve their techniques. What a great way to recover from Mardi Gras! We will make the Fabric Cafe' Nine Plus One three yard quilt from start to finish: cutting the fabric, piecing the top, quilting on a domestic machine, and binding. 

Level: Confident Beginner on Up 
You need to be able to make a bobbin and properly thread your machine, adjust stitch width and stitch length on your sewing machine, and sew a straight line. If you aren't sure if you have these skills, email us at chateausew@gmail.com or give us a ring at 504-533-9221. We will review all the required techniques on our machines in the sewing studio, so you will get a refresher in the class if you are a bit rusty.

The cost of the class includes twelve + hours of instruction in a small group setting, use of our sewing studio, machines, tools, and the pattern. We have sewing machines available in our sewing studio to use during the class, if you don't have your own machine or don't want to transport it to the shop every week. Yardage requirements and more information will be provided when you sign up for the class. You get a 20% discount on fabric purchases made in the shop for this class.

Time: Tuesdays, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., 3/11, 3/18, 3/25, 4/1, 4/15, & 4/22 (no class on 4/8).
Feel free to bring your dinner and/or snacks. Note: we don't do make ups for this series of classes, unless we have to reechedule for an emergency. But, if you do need to miss a class, Joelle will be sure to get you caught up at the next session.

In case of cancellation by us, you may choose to be refunded or receive store credit for the amount paid at the time of registration and use the credit towards a future class within 6 months.
