Make a complete mini-quilt in four weeks while learning curved patchwork techniques with the QCR Mini ruler from Sew Kind of Wonderful. Sew Kind of Wonderful has many patterns that use this ruler. You will have so many fun patterns you can make after mastering the technique. This class is ideal for confident beginners as well as more experienced sewers and quilters who want to spend some time getting back to the basics and improve their techniques. The Mini Penelope measures 32"x39" when completed, but you can easily add squares to make any size you want. We will make the quilt from start to finish: cutting the fabric, piecing the top, quilting on a domestic machine, and binding. 

Level: Confident Beginner on Up 
You need to be able to make a bobbin and properly thread your machine, adjust stitch width and stitch length on your sewing machine, and sew a straight line. We will review all the required techniques on our machines in the sewing studio, so you will get a refresher in the class if you are a bit rusty.

The cost of the class includes 8+ hours of instruction in a small group setting, use of our sewing studio, machines, tools, and the pattern. You will need to purchace the QCR Mini Ruler from Sew Kind of Wonderful if you don't already own one. We carry them in the shop. We have sewing machines available in our sewing studio to use during the class, if you don't have your own machine or don't want to transport it to the shop every week. Fabric requirements: 1/3 yd each of six different fabrics for the flowers, 2-2/3 background fabric, 1 yard backing fabric, and 1/3 yard binding fabric. All fabrics for this project should be 100% quilting cotton. You get a 20% discount on fabric purchases made in the shop for this class.
