The Alpen Bag is a quilted zipper pouch that’s easy to wear around the waist or cross-body for both daily use and exciting adventures. The main zipper compartment is perfect for a wallet plus phone, while the two interior slip pockets help keep smaller items contained. The inside of the Alpen Belt Bag has completely finished edges with no bias binding or curved seams.

Level: Confident Beginner 

This bag is ideal for confident sewists who are very comfortable with a sewing machine and ready to sew zippers, hardware, and minimal quilting. This bag requires one zipper, on triangle, rectoangle, or D-ring, one slider buckle, and one swivel hook.

This includes up to six hours of instruction in a small group setting, use of our machines and equipment in the sewing studio, a copy of the Center Street Quilts Alpen Belt Bag Pattern, stabilizer/batting, and the hardware (zipper, sliders buckle, ring, and swivel hook). Fabric, webbing, and interfacing for this bag need to be purchased and cut out ahead of class. Any fabric purchased at the shop will include a 20% discount, but the fabrics can be sourced from anywhere. This pattern requires 3 fat quarters and 1.5 yards of 1.5" webbing.

Time: Friday, January 30th from 5pm to 7:30pm, and Saturday, January 31st from 1pm to 5:30pm.
