With no darts, zips or set-in sleeves, Stevie is a satisfyingly quick and easy make. If you are interested in sewing your first garmen, or what to join us to hone in your garment basics, join Laura for this all-day class on Saturday, March 14th from 9am to 5pm. This pattern is ideal for the confident beginner sewist, or brand new clothing-maker. 

The Stevie pattern comes in US sizes 2 to 30

• Modern, boxy fit, with easy-peasy grown-on sleeves
• Round neckline with choice of pretty tie or button loop at the back
• Make it as a top with a high hip hemline, or above-the-knee tunic dress
• Optional patch pocket and turn up cuffs

Level: Confident Beginner 

This is a good class for developing your skills as a confident beginner. If you know how to sew a straight line, can follow a seam allowance, and have recent experience using a sewing machine, you are ready for this class. We will briefly review the use of the Bernette sewing machines in our sewing salon at the beginning of the class. You should come to class with your fabric laundered and your fabric pieces already cut for best use of time in class.

This includes up to eight hours of instruction in a small group setting, use of our machines and equipment in the sewing studio, and a copy of the Stevie pattern. Fabric for the shirt or dress will need to be purchased, and will include a 20% discount if bought from Chateau Sew.

Time: Saturday, March 14th  from 9am to 5pm.
There is not a dedicated lunch break. Feel free to bring snack and beverages.

In case of cancellation by us, you may choose to be refunded or receive store credit for the amount paid at the time of registration and use the credit towards a future class within 6 months.
