The Tofino top is an oversized, loose-fitting woven shirt with a relaxed silhouette and laid-back vibe. It features a classic camp collar, dropped shoulders, and a button-up front. Tofino does not have chest darts or bust shaping. View A is hip length, while View B is cropped. Both views feature short sleeves and a wide back yoke for a bold, boxy look. Designed for light to medium-weight wovens like rayon, linen, and cotton, the Tofino top is the perfect balance of comfort and cool.

Size Range: 0-34 (33″ – 62″ hip)
You will need anywhere between 1& 1/2 and 3 & 1/3 yds fabric depending on width of fabric, size, and view being made. You will also need light wight fusible interfacing, and three to five 1/2" to 5/8" wide buttons.

Supplies in not included in the cost of this class. If purchased from Chateau Sew, you will receive a 20% discount. The pattern is PDF download only and is NOT included. You will need to purchase the pattern separately here. If you would like Chateau Sew to provide you with your pre-printed pattern on A0 Shop Copy paper for a fee, you will need to provide your proof of purchase to Laura ahead of time. Alternatively, you can also have your pattern printed at any printing shop, or print it on letter-sized paper on your home printer and tape together.

Level: "Advanced" Beginner 

This is a good class for developing your skills as a confident/advanced beginner. If you know how to sew a straight line, can follow a seam allowance, have recent experience using a sewing machine, and have followed and completed a garment pattern before, you are ready for this class. We will briefly review the use of the Bernette sewing machines in our sewing studio at the beginning of the class. You should come to class with your fabric laundered. There will be time in class for cutting out your fabrics. 

Price: $105.00
This includes up to eight hours of instruction in a small group setting, and use of our machines and equipment in the sewing studio. Fabric for the top will need to be purchased, and will include a 20% discount if bought from Chateau Sew. The pattern must be purchased separately from Helen's Closet.

Time: Sunday, May 17th from 10am to 5pm

There is not a dedicated lunch break. Feel free to bring food and beverages. Food and Drink are allowed in the classroom if accompanied by a respect for classroom machine and supplies.

Payment must be made in advance to reserve your spot. Shortly before class begins (about a week) you will receive an email with more information from hello@chateausew.com. Please monitor your junk mail and spam folders. If you do not receive an email, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations or rescheduling must be made within 48 hour of the beginning of class. We reserve to right to cancel class due to low enrollment. In case of cancellation by us, you may choose to be refunded or receive store credit for the amount paid at the time of registration. No refunds or rescheduling for students who do not show or cancel the day of class.
