Join us for an hour and a half on Wednesday, May20th at 5:30pm to learn the basics of Free Motion Quilting. FMQ on a domestic sewing machine and be intimidating! Come try your hand at it in a low-pressure environment. We will talk about how prepping a quilt for FMQ may be different from quilting with a walking foot, and try out hand at one or two FMQ motifs.

Level: Confident Beginner
This class is appropriate for any adult curious about FMQ, but it is helpful to have a working knowledge of what a quilt and quilting is. It is highly suggested that attendees be familiar with basic functions of a sewing machine.

Price: $50.00
The cost of the class includes and hour and a half instruction in a small group setting, use of our sewing studio and tools, and a small, pre-basted quilt sandwhich to practice on. If you would like to bring an orphan block or small project to practice on, feel free. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, but you will need to have a free-motion or darning foot that fits your machine, along with the ability to drop or cover your feed dogs. If you do not have these options, you can use one of the machines in the shop.

Time: Wednesday, May 20th, from 5:30pm to 7pm.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations or rescheduling must be made no less than 48 hours before the first class in this series. In case of cancellation by us, you may choose to be refunded or receive store credit for the amount paid at the time of registration. No refunds or rescheduling for students who do not show.
