The Sardine pattern from Woolly Petals has been used to make a bread bag, a wall hanging, or the pillow that we will be making in class. The long, skinny shape makes it unique sewing project to be used as a lumbar pillow, a body pillow, a pet toy, or anything you put your mind to.

Level: Comfortable Beginner 

The Sardine class is for adults 18+. We will exercise our ability to sew accurate seam allowances, follow order-of-operations, assemble pattern pieces, and think outside the box. It's likely we will not be stuffing the sardine in class, but we will have polyfil available for purchase if you need it. If you want to make your sardine patchwork, quilted, or other variation, you may need to come with your panels to be cut already pieced or quilted, respectively.

This includes up to 5 hours of instruction in a small group setting, use of our machines and equipment in the sewing studio, and a copy of the Woolly Petals Pattern printed on letter for instructions and Shop Copy paper for the pattern pieces. Fabric and supplies for this sardine will need to be purchased, and will include a 20% discount if bought from Chateau Sew.

Front of Sardine: 1/2 yd OR 2 - 1/4 yds (either size)
Head: 10" wide x 8" high (either size)
Top Fin (optional): 10" x 3" (7" x 2")
Flipper: 10" wide x 6" tall (8" wide by 5" tall)
Eyes: White Felt 2.5" x 4.5", Black Felt (2" x 3.5")
Batting (optional): 10" x 20" piece
Other Supplie:
12oz bag polyester fiberfil

Time: Thursday & Friday, August 6th & 7th 5:45pm - 8pm

Snacks & drinks are allowed in the classroom, but beverages must have a lid that closes. There is not a designated lunch break. Attendees should take a break when they need.

Fine Print: This class is geared for adults age 18 and up. Registrants will receive an email from hello@chateausew.com shortly (about a week) before class. Please monitor your spam and junk folders to avoid missing the email. If you think you have been missed, please do not hesitate to reach out to the shop.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations or rescheduling must be made no later than 48 hours before the beginning of class. We reserve the right to cancel class due to low enrollment. In case of cancellation by us, you may choose to be refunded or receive store credit for the amount paid at the time of registration. No refunds or rescheduling for students who do not show or cancel withing 48 hours of the beginning of class.
