Givenchy, eat your heart out! Join us at Chateau Sew to create the Babydoll Dress from Grace Margaret Studios with guest teacher, Lauren Papale! 

Level: Confident Beginner 

This is a great dress pattern for beginners. It has a good deal of shape to it without tailoring and not super labor intensive. You will learn to make straps and fit them to you, and to make a ruffle.

The cost of the class includes:
- 8 hours of instruction in a small group setting,
- Use of the sewing studio, classroom machines, and tools.
- A 20% discount on fabric if purchased for this class.

This pattern is an online pdf digital download that needs to be purchased from the designer Grace Margaret Studio's Etsy Site here for US sizes 6 to 18. and here for US sizes 20 - 26
You will need to download and print your pattern pieces at home or from a copy shop. If you would like to have this pattern printed for you on A0 large format paper, Laura can have it printed for her cost (approximately $5/page) plus $5 service charge. This needs to be done September 19th to get the print out in time.)

- The Fabric
This dress uses 2.75 yds of 60" width OR 3.25 yds of 44" width of main fabric.
It uses 2 yds of 60" width OR 2.25 of 44" width of lining.
This pattern requires a lightweight woven fabric, such as cotton lawn or linen.

Students will need to have fabric laundered for best results, and the dress pieces cut out before class. If you are not confident you can cut your pieces out correctly, consider scheduling a private lesson in advance of class.

Time: Saturday, September 26th from 2pm - 6pm, and Sunday, August 27th  from 12pm - 4pm
There will not be a designated lunch break. There are multiple nearby locations to walk to get lunch or order food. We do have a small refrigerator to hold lunch items. Food and beverages are allowed in the classroom as long as to machinery and merchandise is respected. Beverages must have a lid. 

Fine Print: Payments must be made in advance to secure your spot. Each attendee requires their own registration. This class is geared for adults age 18 and up. Registrants will receive an email from hello@chateausew.com shortly (about a week) before class. Please monitor your spam and junk folders to avoid missing the email. If you think you have been missed, please do not hesitate to reach out to the shop.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations or rescheduling must be made no later than 48 hours before the beginning of class. We reserve the right to cancel class due to low enrollment. In case of cancellation by us, you may choose to be refunded or receive store credit for the amount paid at the time of registration. No refunds or rescheduling for students who do not show or cancel withing 48 hours of the beginning of class.
